Mr. Godfrey W. Pegues

NEWARK -- Godfrey W. Pegues, 95, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Northwest Church of Christ, 6059 Azle Ave., Fort Worth. Interment: Dido Cemetery. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at the church. Godfrey was born Sept. 18, 1918, in Hopkins County to George William Oliver and Etta May Bearden Pegues. He was loved and respected by many and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; parents; and brothers, Hugh and Ted. Survivors: Sons, Rodney and wife, Teresa, and Gary Pegues; daughter, Marsha Mason and husband, Gary; sister, June Taliaferro; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
