Barbara Ann Langley

Barbara Ann Langley, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2017. She was born on February 9, 1935 to Clovis and Louise Martin in Kiomatia. At a young age the family moved to Atlanta, TX, where she graduated from Atlanta High School. She then moved to Fort Worth to attend Business College. There, she met her husband of 54 years, Billy C. Langley, Sr. they were devoted to each other through good times and bad. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and friend. Barbara was active and held officer’s positions in many organizations through her life. These included, Refrigeration Service Engineers Society, Refrigeration Service Engineers Society Auxiliary, Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution and Good Neighbors Sam’s, a Good Sam’s Chapter. She received many awards for her dedication and service. She was a major supporter in her husband’s writing career. She spent many hours typing his manuscripts in the early years when he wrote them by hand. They enjoyed camping and traveling in their motorhome throughout the U.S. and Canada. Preceding her in death is her husband, Billy C. Langley, Sr., Billy, Jr. and grandson, Wesley McLauchlin. Survivors: Daughters, Debbie McLauchlin and husband Larry and Brenda Ellis and husband Kenny; grandchildren, Ashley and Jesse Largent, Josh Ellis and Amber Collier; 4 great grandchildren and sister, Carolyn Martin. Services: Funeral services, Thursday, February 23 at 10 am at Calvario Funeral Chapel, Fort Worth. Visitation: 6-8pm Wednesday Interment: Greenwood Cemetery following service.
