Christopher Scott Franklin

August 16, 1982 — September 29, 2020

Christopher Scott Franklin was born August 16, 1982 in Fort Worth, TX and passed on September 29, 2020. He was first and foremost a Christian, and also a son, a brother, a friend, and a loving father. He loved talking to people, making friends, telling jokes, and doting on his daughter Emily. He was a fun loving person with an infectious smile, who never met a stranger. He was tender hearted, caring, and also innocent in many ways. He always intended to make a friend, and it brought him joy to bring a smile to people’s faces. And you always knew where he stood because he was never afraid to speak his mind. He graduated from Aledo High School in 2001 where he enjoyed playing the trumpet in the band. He became a jack of all trades working in various fields before he landed a custodian position with the Fort Worth ISD. His strong work ethic led to his becoming head custodian of Benbrook Elementary School, and he never let his health problems or back and feet pain stop him from doing his best at work. He married Carmen Underwood in 2005 and became a father in November 2007 when his daughter Emily was born and she was his world and number one in his life. His daughter became the most important person to him, and he was so proud of her, very supportive of everything she did, and loved her so much. Chris is survived by his father Troy Franklin, mother Lynn Truitt, brothers Matthew Franklin & Alexander Franklin, and daughter Emily Franklin.
