Christopher Joseph Hilburn was born on December 9, 1963, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Norman High School in 1982, where he distinguished himself as an All-Conference defensive tackle for the Norman High School Tigers football team. Known for his strength, discipline, and leadership, Chris earned the lasting respect of both teammates and coaches. Chris worked his way through college through the ROTC program and went on to earn a master’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Oklahoma, where he was also a member of the OU rugby team. He proudly served his country as a lieutenant in the Army National Guard and was deployed during Desert Storm II, exemplifying a deep sense of duty and commitment to service. Following his military service, Chris built a successful professional career, which included work with Purdue Pharmaceutical, Bell Helicopter, and Delta Airlines. Chris had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed deep-sea fishing aboard his Grady White boat. He will be remembered for his dedication, discipline, strong work ethic, and love of adventure. Chris is survived by his son, Allen; his mother, Tressa; and his five siblings: Cheryl, Annette, David, Susan, and Jarrett. Christopher passed away January 1, 2026 in Fort Worth, TX. Visitation will be Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 3:00PM - 5:00PM at Calvario Funeral Chapel, 111 W. Northside Dr. in Fort Worth, TX. Graveside services will be Friday, January 16, 2026 at 10:00AM at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX.
