FORT WORTH -- Jose Ortega Jr., 70, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014. Service: Mass of Christian Burial, 11 a.m. Saturday, St. Andrew Catholic Church, 3314 Dryden, Fort Worth. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lucas Sylvania Funeral Home, 517 N. Sylvania Ave. Rosary: 7 p.m. Jose was born July 5, 1944, in Fort Worth to Jose and Margarita Ortega Sr. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Jose was preceded in death by his mother and sister, Lucy Firestone. Survivors: Wife, Patricia; son, Mark Ortega and wife, Courtney; daughter, Sheri Sosa and husband, Jimmy; father, Jose Ortega Sr.; brothers, Jesse Ortega and Henry Ortega and wife, Sarah; grandchildren, Marcus, Jacob, Chelsea, Kayla, Isabella, Angelica, Victoria, Cesilee, James, Loela, Kendall and Jayla; numerous other friends and relatives.
