Octtie Lou Harden was born July 5, 1939, in Denton Texas to Nettie and George Shockey. She passed on March 11, 2024. She was 84 years 8 months and 6 days old. She married Bobby Gene Harden in 1953 and spent the next 37 years being a loving mother and wife. She boldly stood by Bobby’s side until the lord called him home. Octtie was a hairdresser and enjoyed working in nursing homes making a difference in the lives of the patients there. Octtie was a resident of Tarrant County for more than 70 years. She had the personality of a giant squeezed into a tiny body. Her laugh was infectious and there was nothing she wouldn’t say at any given moment. She was always the “favorite” aunt. The aunt who followed no rules…...except one……don’t touch her what nots. Octtie lived life to the fullest right up to the very end. She will be greatly missed. Octtie was survived by her 3 grandchildren Angie Harden of Fort Worth, Chance Harden (wife Elizabeth) of Granbury, Wesley Harden of Granbury; and 2 great grandchildren; Brother George Orion Shockey and an abundance of nieces, nephews, and friends. Octtie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years Bobby Gene Harden; her three children Bobby Dean Harden, Rickey Gene Harden, and Robbie Joe Harden; her parents Nettie Scott and Bonus Dad Bill Scott, her brother William (Billy) Shockey and sister Delores Perry.
