Thelma was born Sunday August 18th 1935 to Irene Virginia & TL Causey. She passed from this world to be with our Lord on Sunday November 3rd 2024 at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her Mother Irene & Father TL Causey, Brother Joe Otis Causey, Husband Maurice Wayne Applewhite, Daughter Karen Sue Kohler, & Grandson Clifton Maurice Kohler. Thelma is survived by her Brothers Billy Don Causey & spouse Laurie & Douglas Oran Causey, Daughter Teresa Gayle & spouse Joseph Paul Eller, Daughter Paula Kay & spouse Lee Frank Ethridge, 6 Granddaughters: Kandace Kohler & spouse Ashley, Krystal Kohler, Hailey Ethridge Wigley, Hollie Banwait & spouse Manpreet, Nora Eller, Marci Eller, Twelve Great Grand Children and One on the way. Thelma was married to the Love of her life Wayne Applewhite, on Friday December 3rd 1954, for 63 years. She was a devoted wife working at home to raise their family as well as serving K-Mart as a dedicated employee through her daughters college years. She was a Loving Mother always knowing the right things to do and say to nurture her three wonderful daughters. She grew up as the Guiding Sister to her three rowdy brothers helping her mother along the way. When the granddaughters came along she quickly became known as that Awesome Grannie and an expert at packing snacks for the movies. Whether you know her as Sister, Mother, Grannie, Grannie Great, Thelma, or just Friend, you knew and felt Her Love. She will be missed and cherished by all. Her love will warm your heart as memories come to mind. As she came into this world like us all, a fresh green rose, she left this world as a beautiful rose of Gold. Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 8, 2024 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at Calvario Funeral Chapel, 111 W. Northside Drive, Fort Worth, TX.
